In May 2025, we partnered with Shopify to produce their largest annual gathering—Shopify Summit—hosted at the Enercare Centre in Toronto. The event brought together thousands of entrepreneurs, developers, and creators from around the world, demanding a thoughtful approach to scale, flow, and brand storytelling.
The Challenge:
Shopify needed a physical environment that could match the scale and ambition of their global programming. The design had to guide thousands of attendees seamlessly through keynote sessions, networking areas, and product demos, while maintaining a strong and cohesive brand presence throughout.
The Approach:
We designed and fabricated a comprehensive event environment that blended impact with functionality. Large-scale branded signage and immersive wayfinding elements ensured clarity and flow. Custom lounge builds offered comfortable spaces for connection and recharge, while modular demo zones allowed hands-on exploration of Shopify’s latest tools. Each space—from keynote stages to networking hubs—was tailored to reflect Shopify’s refined, commerce-forward identity.
Engagement
The dynamic mix of environments encouraged both large-scale participation and intimate moments of discovery. Attendees engaged with interactive installations, connected in lounge spaces, and navigated the summit effortlessly thanks to cohesive spatial planning. Every touchpoint was designed to enhance engagement with the content and with the community itself.
